Mr. Tata said that the car meets all safety and emission norms and emissions are lower than 2 wheelers. The car has 21% more volume than much popular Maruti 800. Which mean the interior space is going to be really good. The car would be indeed launched at price 1 lakh + taxes.
The 1 lakh car was a major concern for the environmentalists and other who raised concern about the pollution and concession caused by the car if it was wide accepted in the market. The target audience of the car is basically two wheeler buyers who would like to own a car and also second hand small car buyers. Mr Tata refuted these claims and said that the car would be least polluting and as far as congestion is concerned, something that needs to be acted upon is the infrastructure. Stopping someone from making a car that would be affordable to common people nation wide is not an answer.

The thought behind making the 1 lakh car occurred to Mr Tata when he saw an entire family traveling on a two wheeler, a common sight amongst many cities and towns in India. The car will empower those families to travel in a more comfortable and safe manner irrespective of the weather conditions.

The car if successful will definitely revolutionize the four wheeler segment in the country and around the world.

Wish you a very happy new year!!

Hey guys.. This is the first time I am writing a personal post in this blog. First of all Wish you a very Happy new Year 2008. May the year 2008 bring you all riches and happiness. Every new year enjoyment is always memorable for me. We reside in bay area, hence we enjoy on the beach road with all the friends. First we started on our bikes at 11.20. All the friends are collected at one place and started towards the beach road. But the police blocked the beach road from the entry of bikes. So we backed and went on other side of beach. We just parked the bikes and take off. We guys bought some playing instruments. We started playing the instruments and walked at the started playing the instruments at the centre of the road. Then the clock hit 12.00 clock. We started wishing happy new year one another and wishing everyone around us. Walked for a lot of time and ended it at 2.00 clock. Again we took off and landed at a friend's room. Some started playing cards and I watched movie. Again we took off to everyone's home and I wished my Mom a very happy new year.
